Free State Project Watch is a project of Granite State Progress. Year round, Granite State Progress works to engage citizens from across the state around issues of immediate state or local concern. Our mission is to provide a strong, credible voice in advancing progressive solutions to critical community problems. But we don’t do that on our own – we work as a communications and research team for the entire progressive community.
Granite State Progress has been tracking the Free State Project and its influence since 2008, paying particular attention to Free Stater activity in elections and legislation. Each year, Granite State Progress researches and compiles a list of Free State Project candidates and electeds for distribution in local communities and to members of the media. We also educate the public about the Free State Project, its members, beliefs, and influence, and act as a resource for affected communities to gather support and network with one another about how to handle Free State Project members and activities.
